So I've been digging into the BLE module specs and the 50km range number is obviously the headline, but what I'm actually trying to figure out is whether the 2Mbps data rate is realistic at anything beyond short-to-mid range. Like, is that 2Mbps PHY mode even the one being used when you're hitting those longer distances, or does the module fall back to a lower PHY (LE Coded / 125kbps) to actually achieve the range? Because those two things are kind of in tension with each other from an RF standpoint.
