@Charles Brown yeah the mesh topology suggestion is the right call for your setup, and I'd go further — if you can get even one of your nodes elevated, like mounted on a pole at the high point of a ridge rather than at ground level, you'll recover a surprising amount of that lost range budget. The RF front-end on the MultiNav Pro+ has solid receiver sensitivity so it handles fringe conditions better than most, but physics is physics and a dense treeline is basically a lossy wall at 2.4GHz.
The other thing worth thinking about for your specific deployment is pairing the BLE modules with the Sensors Module on each node — that way each node is already doing the environmental data capture locally and you're just moving small telemetry packets across the mesh, which is much friendlier to marginal link conditions than trying to stream bulk data. Lower payload = more reliable comms in difficult terrain.
