@Julie Smith good question and honestly a pretty common concern for this kind of deployment — the short answer is that at 2-3km you have so much link margin headroom that orientation-induced pattern variation isn't going to drop your connection, even with the module rotating around on a tractor or similar equipment.
The thing to think about is that antenna pattern nulls are real but they're also fleeting — on a slow-moving vehicle the module is never going to sit in a null orientation long enough for the link to actually fail, it'll just see a brief dip in RSSI and the receiver sensitivity of the module is good enough that you'd need to lose a lot of dBm before it matters at that distance. Where orientation becomes a genuine problem is when you're right at the edge of range and a null hits at the worst moment, but at 2-3km on a ground-to-ground link rated to 5km you're not even close to that edge case.
The more practical thing I'd actually watch for in an ag equipment deployment is multipath and ground reflections from the terrain and any metal on the machine itself — mounting position on the vehicle matters more than the motion. Get the antenna as high and unobstructed as you can on the equipment, keep it away from large metal surfaces that would create a ground plane effect, and you should stream data without issues. If you're also logging position alongside the sensor data, pairing it with the GNSS module at 18Hz is a natural fit for that kind of application too.
