MultiNav Pro+ BLE - does the RF front-end need any external matching components?

Been digging into the MultiNav Pro+ BLE module for a project that needs the long-range capability and I'm trying to figure out how much work the RF side is going to be before I can actually test range. With most BLE modules I've used, even the ones claiming decent range, you still end up needing to tune the matching network yourself if you want to hit anywhere near the advertised numbers - especially if you're swapping antennas or going external instead of using whatever's onboard. So my question is whether the RF front-end on the MultiNav Pro+ is already matched and ready to go out of the box, or if there's some tuning expected on the user side depending on the antenna choice.

@Susan Martinez good question, and yeah this is the thing that trips people up with a lot of BLE modules claiming big range numbers.
 
The RF front-end on the MultiNav Pro+ is designed to work out of the box — the matching network is already tuned as part of the hardware design, which is a big part of how it achieves those range numbers without expecting you to bring a VNA to the party. The external amplifiers and receiver sensitivity optimization that get you to 5km ground-to-ground or 15-20km man-to-drone are baked into the board design, not left as homework for the user.
 
That said, if you're planning to swap to a different external antenna rather than the one it ships with, you'd want to at least verify the impedance match is still in the right ballpark — that's true of any module, not specific to this one. But if you're using a standard 50-ohm antenna you shouldn't need to retune anything to start seeing real range. I'd just get it on the bench with the default antenna first and confirm the baseline before complicating things.
